Heald Terms of Use

Welcome to Heald, the world's most supportive breakup recovery app. By accessing or using Heald's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Heald regarding your use of our application and services. Please read these Terms carefully before using our app.

Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

To use Heald, you must:

• Be at least 16 years old, or the minimum digital-consent age required by the laws of your country, whichever is higher
• If you are under 18, have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use Heald
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Not have been previously banned from our services
• Agree to use our services for their intended purpose: healing and recovery support

You agree to:

• Use Heald for personal healing and recovery purposes only
• Keep your login information secure
• Provide honest feedback in journals and interactions

You agree NOT to:

• Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Use the app to contact or stalk former partners
• Share login credentials with others
• Attempt to circumvent any app limitations or security measures
• Use the AI companion for purposes other than emotional support

Your privacy is paramount to us. We collect and process your data to provide personalized support and improve our services. Key privacy principles:

• Journal entries: Encrypted and stored securely
• AI conversations: Used only for providing support, not for training
• Progress data: Used to show your healing journey
• No sharing: We never sell your personal data to third parties

Free Trial

New users receive a 3-day free trial of premium features. The trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial period ends.

Subscription Plans

• Yearly subscription: $59.99/year, includes a 3-day free trial
• Weekly subscription: $14.99/week, no trial
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period until cancelled
• You can cancel anytime through your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

Refunds

Refund requests for subscriptions purchased through the App Store are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

Cancellation Rights

You may cancel your subscription at any time. For California residents: You may cancel your subscription, without penalty or obligation, at any time prior to midnight of the third business day following the date you subscribed.

Our AI companion is designed to provide emotional support and guidance. Important limitations:

• The AI is not a replacement for professional therapy or medical advice
• If you're experiencing crisis or suicidal thoughts, please contact emergency services
• AI responses are generated and may not always be perfect
• Do not share personal information of others with the AI
• The AI cannot and should not provide medical or legal advice

Heald is designed to support your healing journey, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We provide the app "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for decisions you make based on app content
• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service
• We encourage seeking professional help when needed

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Use
• Misuse our AI features
• Remain inactive for extended periods

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Heald after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
